GRAPHIC DESIGN PORTFOLIO
throughline theatre company
Throughline is one of my favorite clients in Pittsburgh, and I think I have done some of my best work for them across several seasons. The posters for Dog Sees God and Straight White Men were for a 2020 season that was ultimately never produced due to the pandemic, but they are two of the designs I’m proudest of.
Fullerton College 2022-2023 season
This season layout for Fullerton College is the most complex project I’ve taken on to date, designing four posters with original illustrations for use in multiple layouts and formats as part of a cohesive overall season look.
pittsburgh classic players 2019 season
PCP was looking for a grungy, punk-rock aesthetic for this season, so I chose to emulate a classic cut-and-paste zine style for this lineup.
Other designs: more posters, logos, mailers, etc.
I’ve designed a number of posters for other clients; comedians & improv groups, Pittsburgh companies like Bricolage, Primestage, and other theatre groups. The poster for Alice Invents a Little Game… is another personal favorite, where the client asked for an image reminiscent of a Ralph Steadman drawing.
I’ve also designed a number of podcast logos, seen below - balancing the requests of clients with the need to keep designs bright, eye-catching, and easily legible in a small format like a podcast feed. The fourth image is part of a commission from PPT, illustrating a “prologue” to 2020’s Zoom performance of Much Ado About Nothing.
To make them extra special (and budget-friendly!) I designed and silk-screened my own save the dates and wedding invitations.
The Chicago-based Girls in the Game organization hired me to organize and lay out their 2020 annual report, with the request that the opening pages be in the style of a journal or notebook. This allowed me the opportunity to incorporate some original illustrations into the project, in addition to using my knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to assemble the 28 page report.
